SERAFINO collaborates with critically acclaimed artist Amanta Scott

Amanta Scott's "Flow," a series of abstract wall sculptures, explores the dynamic flow of energy and colour. It combines encaustic (pigments mixed with hot wax) with sterling silver, copper and stainless steel. The sterling silver series features jewelry designed by Montreal's SERAFINO.

Inspired by Amanta's encaustic and stainless steel works, SERAFINO creative team Antonio Serafino and Annegret Morf proposed the artist try something with pieces from their FREEVOLA and PALLINO collections.

"We have always felt that our jewelry should have a "life" even when it is not on someone's body. So the idea of it being completely abstracted from its original purpose and becoming visual art intrigued us," says Annegret Morf.

"Working with such tiny objects poses an interesting challenge: to create meaningful non-decorative works that honour the essence of the jewelry and do not overpower it while simultaneously moving beyond," says Amanta Scott.

"It could be interesting to exhibit the artworks in conjunction with the jewelry," adds Antonio Serafino. "Any takers?"
